My story
My background
I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, in a bilingual environment that fostered my passion for languages. My parents, both English and Spanish teachers, were meticulous about language, instilling in me a deep respect for clear and accurate communication.
After finishing high school, I had the opportunity to study in Santa Monica, California, where my English skills flourished. I earned an AA Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology in 1969, which marked the beginning of my professional journey.
My experience
In 1997, I began doing pro bono translations for a non-profit organization and, by 2004, became their Spanish Department Manager. Since then, I’ve traveled extensively through Latin America and the Caribbean, interpreting at international conferences for over 2,000 hours and translating countless publications. I remain passionate about being a bridge for clear communication, helping people understand each other.
